Inventory Management (IM)

The heart to a good POS system.

• Our IM's Quantity On Hand field is protected, meaning the user is unable to change the count.
• How do we adjust the QOH count?

1. At inventory item creation the quantity can be set.
2. When Receiving product the inventory quantity is incremented, added.
3. During Inventory Audit the quantity is adjusted.

Hints about SIMS Data Management and Record Keeping.

• File structure is Dbase IV.
• Import and Export of data is not restricted. Structures used are ODBC, CSV, Dbase III, Foxpro DB, Oracle 7 & 8, Informix 8, Paradox, SQL and more.
• Schema Item verify reads.
• Data corruption. Instruction on how to use Lotus file compression.
• All of our data tables are not protected from the user. This means our data tables are an open source for the owner. The owner is free to write there own applications with access it the store data.
