Point of Sale brief history in the 1970's and 1980's

In the late 70's and 80's Point Of Sale Systems was created by mostly large corporations. The design was very different using Control Characters to perform a POS function. There was no Personal Computer under the cabinet but a Mini Computer about the size of your computer desk. The cost of these systems were as little as $10,000 and as much as $25,000 for small and medium business.

Some of these systems are still supported and running. Avis, Budget and Enterprise Rent a Car companies still use the same software model today..

Even then the store owner new just how important it would be, to use a computer and it's software for his/her's business financial success..

. Take a look at our software. We have much to offer. Much more that Quick Books, Microsoft's Point of Sale and others. It is Time to take a look!
